Milan is one of Europe's oldest fashion destinations, and especially for sneaker fans. The North Italian city hosted New Balance's launch of MS574AW and our content team was invited.

We had 24 hours in Milan and searched the city to find 5 places (plus a little extra) that you should visit if you’re ever in town. Don’t worry - there are both sneakers, pasta and drinks.

Duomo di Milano

The Cathedral is one of the city's trademarks and the impressive church is definitely worth a visit - if you absolutely need a dose of history. The church was, among others, designed by Leonardo da Vinci and although construction began in 1386, it wasn’t completed before the 1960s.

Milan is known for good shopping possibilities and spectacular shops. Our unbeaten favorite is the streetwear store Slam Jam, which has an impressive selection of brands such as Palace, Know Wave, Off White and NGBH, as well as a wealth of sneaker heat from New Balance, Adidas Consortium, Nike Lab, Hi-Tec and Asics. Last year, New Balance opened a giant flagship store in Milan, which has a large selection of sneakers and especially UK and US models like 990, 991 and the special Porto Nueva version, that is specially made for the Milanese store.

Address : Slam Jam, Via Giovanni Lanza, 1, 20121 Milan MI, Italy
Address : New Balance, Unicredit Tower, Piazza Gae Aulenti, 1, 20124 Milan MI, Italy

Would you like to shop some more? Here are some other destinations we think you should check out:

NikeLab, Via Statuto, 18, 20121 Milan MI, Italy
Acne Studios, Piazza del Carmine, 6, 20121 Milan MI, Italy
10 Corso Como, Corso Como, 10, 20154 Milan MI, Italy

One of the most important things when you are in Italy is to fill up on pasta dishes, so you have the energy to shop. We recommend truffle pasta at Osteria Stendhal.

Address : Via Ancona, 1, 20121 Milan MI, Italy

Italian gelato is a must when you are visiting the city. You'll find Gelaterias everywhere in town, so do not hesitate to try them all.

It is important to keep hydrated when you’re out in the sun all day. Italy is renowned for the best aperitivos, so be sure to try Campari tonic and espressos. Two good classics that most places can’t fuck up.
