The adidas originals Forum has become a modern classic since its return from the basketball archives in late 2020. It was originally created for - and named after - the 1984 Olympic Games that were held in the Los Angeles “Forum” in Inglewood. After a few seasons with many strong colorways, we now present the “Little Goat” colorway with a slight upgrade in quality and materials.
The colorway “Little Goat” refers to a pair of Forum Hi from the adidas archives that were developed for the one and only Michael Jordan. After his time in college (University of North Carolina), where he secured the NCAA college championship with the decisive shot as a freshman in 1982, Michael Jordan was sought after by most brands and sponsors.
In preperation for the 1984 Olympics, Michael Jordan got a chance to train in the adidas Forum Hi and considered signing a contract with adidas. In case he would, adidas made a prototype for him in the iconic White/Carolina Blue colorway from his college.
That prototype and colorway has now emerged from the archive and released as “Little Goat” honoring a young MJ as one of (G)reatest (O)f (A)ll (T)ime.
To emphasize the release and the story behind it, we have created a campaign to highlight inspiring people that we believe are little G.O.A.T.’s in their own field, and in their own way. People that are inspiring change and making waves in the game - just like MJ did.
